Directions to Waddesdon Hall Waddesdon is 5 miles north of Aylesbury towards Bicester on the A41. Aylesbury Vale Parkway train station is 3.5 miles. History of Waddesdon Hall Waddesdon's Hall was built by Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild in 1897, as a venue for the wide range of uplifting social activities that flourished in the village. Until 1968 this hall was operated and maintained by the Waddesdon Estate. In 1968 ownership was transferred to a Charitable Trust.
For more than a hundred years the Hall has provided the community with a splendid setting for almost every possible indoor activity, from drama to karate. In the Second World War it was a reception centre for evacuees, and in happier times it has continued to be the venue for innumerable parties, dances, wedding receptions, exhibitions and horticultural shows.

Held my 30th birthday party in the hall. Couldnt fault it. All facilities were excellent. Has a bar area with plenty of space and free glasses. Beautiful interior and exterior. We had a ceilidh with the band on the stage plenty of space for everything. The hosts were incredibly helpful and no request was beyond them. I originally chose the hall as they let me have it overnight so guests could sleep and we could tidy it up in the morning. They even permitted me to bring my own fire pit (that we didnt end up lighting in the end). If I need a hall for a similar event I will be coming back. Great value too!
