THE ARK adjoins St Laurence Church in the rural village of Alvechurch, Worcestershire.
This is a modern purpose build venue (opened in 2006) boasting a large hall with a sprung wooden floor, a professional kitchen and an upstairs lounge. The ideal venue for Children's Parties, Baptism Parties, Wedding Receptions*, Funeral Wakes, Exhibitions, Training days, Classes etc......Winner of the 2007 EASA President's Award for the best Ecclesiastical Architecture. *Wedding receptions only for couple marrying at St Laurence’s.
I'm afraid we are not currently hosting late parties.
Availability and Hire Costs
Availability: The hall is available to hire all year round, daytime, evenings and weekends, subject to availability. Not avaialble of a Sunday morning as the hall and kitchen is in use for church purposes.
Hire Costs: We have three tiers of hire charges - charity / family / commercial. The prices vary depending upon your room requirements as we have a hall, an upstairs lounge and a kitchen. You can hire these individually or select your room requirements. You many just want the hall, or hire the hall and kitchen, or the upstairs room for example. It just depends on what type of event you are holding. CHARITY RATE - from £12 per hour (you must be a registered charity and have a charity number). FAMILY RATE from £17 per hour (for family parties). COMMERCIAL RATE from £22 per hour (profit making organisations).
